Lustable Fashion! The Lust List!

The Lust List for EIC is basically my way of jotting down items I love and filing them away for when I let loose on the purse strings, drain my poor wee bank account, and hit the shops. It's difficult being sensible with money - but it's amazing the things you learn to live without on a resessionista's budget!
For the next splurge I have my eye on these beauties!
ASOS Popper Front Fit And Flare Mac - £78.78.  I really need a mac coat in my life, I know they are a capsule wardrobe must-have and I want! But, I've forever been annoyed by how standard macs fit me, being a shortie I have to hem everything. This fit and flare from ASOS looks like it might be the perfect shape for me! Definitely on the list! Don't you love it? I looove it.

Another one from ASOS - apparently I have jacket fever tonight, is this babe.

Now usually I steer clear of beige because when I was a blonde it seriously washed out my already ghost-like shading, but since going back to my roots - literally - I have become more accepting of it, but still waiting. This however is just too cool. I love how effortless it looks, classic with a modern edge for sure.

Debenhams SS13 Vicenza Necklace, £18. You know I love me a crazy statement necklace!

Mango Crystal bib!

Make a Statement!

Make a Statement - With your jewellery that is!

I have become over the past year nothing short of obsessed with 'statement' pieces when it comes to my accessories. I do not know what it was that clicked for me, maybe it was it becoming a huge trend, maybe it was when I went from blonde to brunette and thus embraced gold again like it was going out of fashion (which it never will!)

On the other hand, maybe it was all of those things combined, but out of nowhere, I went from a dainty ring / silvers mostly kind of girl, to a big shocking in your face necklace / rings kind of girl. Of course, with this transformation I feel like my clothing style has calmed down a lot more, I’m reaching for more classic, tailored pieces over baggy jeans and clothes that just Do. Not .Fit.

I am learning every day though and that is what counts, right? Here are some of the reasons why I love this trend so much and pray it never dies!

+Rachel Zoe  launched her jewelry line at @Neiman Marcus last summer and it’s all so very Zoe. Chunky and hard to ignore, it’s just like the jewelry she reaches for herself. Big, bold and glam and on the more expensive side of things for those of us on a serious budget, but if the bank account allows, I say go for it! Nicole Richie ( a once upon a time, long time client of Ms Zoe herself) has her House of Harlow line that also does really interesting over-sized pieces like the Starbust ring that I had for a long time before losing it :( )

Here are also some of my +Primark online and +Dorothy Perkins finds that I love too, and on a much more realistic high-street budget if you're just beginning to mess around with pieces like this.

House of Harlow 1960 Starburst Abalon cocktail ring, £65

Dorothy Perkins - Crackle Beads - E26

Rachel Zoe Crystal Bangles.

What are some of your favourite pieces to jazz up the every day? Do you have a favourite Etsy or high-street brand, I'm always looking for ideas so sound off if you have any! :D

Emma Stone : Coat Envy!

Is there even such a thing as Coat Envy? If there is I have it for various fashionable ladies of Hollywood, but that could just be chalked up to good old fashioned 'Closet Envy'! The Coat Envy this week comes courtesy of Miss Emma Stone. She can rock any colour hairstyle and still look fresh and fab, but it's her winter coat collection that I've been obsessing over in her candid shots lately! Here are just a few of her fantastically versatile and ever growing collection.
Here she's teamed her Maje jacket with some cute MiuMiu flats!

With bonus Anna Wintour and her amazing winter offering!

Emma's coat here is the Fay Funnel coat and runs for E890!

She ticks all the boxes for the best of the trends for A/W12. We've got toggle, checkered, vibrantly coloured, and even boucle!

Here are some of my highstreet alternatives to Emma's stylings:
Boucle from Dorothy Perkins for £69.
Found here

 Checked/Houndstooth style.

Vibrant!
I love this Anastasia - Turquoise Womens Double Breasted Winter Coat from Amazon for a right steal at just £49.99! I think a really bright standout colour for a winter coat is a great tip for keeping things cheerful in a sea of black this cold season.

Bonus! Vibrant toggle/duffel coat.
Anyone that knows me, knows I love a red coat for winter / Christmas time. I don't know what it is but I've had mine now for two years, and it just really helps me get into the Christmas mood or something. I probably look like one of Santa's little helpers in my military style swing coat but I do love it so. It was also super handy this time last year when I was visiting Paris. I was the little blonde woman in the mad red coat, in a sea of unimpressed Parisians in the sea of black and grey!
This one has the leather detail similar to one of Emma's too, but for a fraction of the price.

What are some of your winter faves when it comes to wrapping up! Sound off below or on my twitter page if you see me there lovelies!

Kardashian Kollection for Dorothy Perkins!

The Kardashian sisters have invaded the UK this week with their first collection with Dorothy Perkins! The Kardashian Kollection (no we haven't forgotten how to spell, it's their 'thing') hits the stores this week and here are just a few of my picks from the Kollection that I have a feeling I'll just have to get my hands on. The collection itself includes dresses, shorts, blazers, blouses and of course accessories. As a huge fan of accessories (I maintain they can make even the plainest outfit looked amazing) I have picked a couple of bags from the showing that I think are rather cute.

All in all there isn't anything utterly mind-blowing from the selection, but since they are aimed at girls like themselves that have a booty and a bust, I feel that the every-day lady would be well suited to some of their styles. It's not aimed at the waif thin demographic and I like that aspect as usually the larger bummed lady is left out when it comes to trends and style having to make do with fitting into items designed for smaller women but just sized up. I find that the contouring on the dresses and the overall styling of the tops and trousers shows their audience that they're designing clothes not just for the every-day woman but that would suit their figures as well. I can't wait to go and take a look at how my favourite pieces match up in reality when it hits stores here on Thursday the 8th of November. Items rage from £30-55 and up.

Kalling all Kardashian Fans!

The Kardashian sisters have announced that their Kardashian Kollection will be launched in the UK on November 8.
The sisters, who shot to unprecedented fame on Keeping up with the Kardashians , will be available in high street store Dorothy Perkins.

The range, which is currently sold in US department store Sears and offers affordable and chic denim, accessories, shoes and homeware, will launch in 250 Dorothy Perkins stores nationwide.
Kim told the Sun: “My sisters and I are so thrilled that we are launching at Dorothy Perkins,” while Kourtney tweeted today: ”So exciting! Kardashian Kollection is launching in the UK w/ @DorothyPerkins Nov 8! Can’t wait to head over to the UK.”

What do we think? Is there a UK market for the Sisters K to exploit? Is it a good thing that these ladies, embracing their fuller, curvacious figures as they do are putting more fashion options out there for the more curvacious every-day woman? I have to admit, I have a fascinating relationship with the Kardashian family, I hate that I love to watch the highjinx! But, it would be hard to deny that they're not beautiful women running an empire with style! I do think their Kollection will be a hit, and a hit for Dorothy Perkins too, I for one can't wait to see what they come up with together!
