Anyone that knows me knows that I have a bit of a @DietCoke addiction. You see, I'm a weird Irish person in that I hate tea, I hate coffee (though, love the smell) and generally avoid hot drinks in general if I can help it (Starbucks hot choc in winter not withstanding of course). So my drink of choice is either ice water or forever faithful, Diet Coke. So, when I heard on twitter for the BFW peeps about the Diet Coke Design award and all that it offered the winner I felt the need to share it with you guys. Basically, The
Diet Coke Design Award is in conjunction with Belfast FASHIONWEEK and is back for 2013 and there’s only a short space of time left to enter!
This year, in celebration of
Diet Coke’s 30th anniversary, they're looking for entrants to design a
unique garment inspired by the past 30 years of fashion i.e. ‘80s, ‘90s
or ‘00s. Three shortlisted finalists will have their design created by
Una Rodden and each will be showcased on the A/W Belfast FASHIONWEEK
catwalk.
The winning design will be announced at Fashionweek by a team
of judges with the winner receiving a place on a highly coveted fashion
course at the London School of Fashion including flights and
accommodation as well as a photoshoot with fashion photographer Khara
Pringle.

I think this is a fantastic opportunity for the creative genius running around that could benefit massively from this. I unfortunately can't draw a straight line, but I could write you a book if you'd like? For those of you that can design and are looking for a challenge, you have until Sep13th to enter! So get cracking!
